A digital exhibition revealing the faces of abolition of the death penalty

ECPM (Together Against the Death Penalty) and its partners are paying tribute to emblematic figures in the abolitionist struggle in France, Europe and the world. The French and European components are regularly exhibited in places and on dates with symbolic importance for human rights (Paris City Hall, Humboldt University of Berlin, etc.).

These physical exhibitions can be extended online through the extensive multimedia and educational content linked to each of the 30 portraits featured in this digital version.

For more than twenty years, ECPM has been one of the leading global actors in this struggle. 60% of the world’s population still lives under the yoke of a justice system that kills, with more than 20,000 death row prisoners worldwide at risk of execution. Today, only 52 States apply the death penalty. This evolution, slow but in the right direction, is the result of a daily struggle led by politicians, activists, artists, etc. who are celebrated throughout these pages.

Their story is also yours.
